David and Kathleen Trapp founded Dignity Foundation on the belief, rooted in Christ’s love, that every person is created with inherent worth and deserves to be valued and supported. Dignity Foundation serves underserved communities through trusted partnerships and programs that meet essential needs with compassion, choice, and dignity, reflecting God’s love in action.
When we started Dignity Foundation, it wasn’t just about giving things, it was about restoring something far deeper. There was a time in our own lives when we walked through a season of real struggle. We had three little boys looking up to us, depending on us, and we were doing everything we could to hold it all together.
We honestly didn’t know how we were going to keep up with the bills or provide even the basics for our kids. It was scary. And even more than that, it was isolating. In those moments, it can feel like the world is moving on without you, and it’s easy to feel invisible.
That season changed everything. It led us to rely on God’s provision and grace, and it inspired us to start Dignity Foundation. We didn’t just want to meet physical needs; we wanted people to feel seen, encouraged, and supported in the love of Christ. That’s why our foundation exists. Yes, we provide essentials, but even more than that, we offer support that restores dignity, brings hope, and reminds others they are held and valued by God. This purpose is deeply personal, rooted in faith, community, and the belief that everyone is created with worth, loved, and deserving of respect.
