Empowering Others with Dignity of Choice
At Dignity Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in faith, we believe every person is worthy of being seen, encouraged, and empowered through the dignity of choice.
We partner with trusted community organizations who refer individuals and families to us for a meaningful shopping experience. Many of those we serve are in the process of moving from transitional housing into a place they can finally call home. Our prayer is to help make their home stable, functional, and filled with hope.
Through our three dignity programs, Dignity Home, Dignity Threads, and Dignity Kids, we walk alongside those we serve shopping for household essentials, clothing, and child specific items. More than providing necessities, we offer encouragement, support and the assurance of God’s love.
“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19
A shopping experience for referred individuals and families for essential household items to ensure functionality and stability in their new homes. These items include cookware, small appliances, dishes, bedding, towels, and cleaning supplies. Essentials that create a comfortable and well-equipped home.
Dignity Threads provides individuals the freedom to shop and choose clothing and shoes that are tailored to their professional needs as they step into the workforce. This program not only supports professionalism but also reinforces the value of respecting each person’s dignity of choice, and expression of self.
Through Dignity Kids, we offer families a shopping experience where they can select essential items like cribs, car seats, high chairs, diapers, and wipes. By equipping parents with these foundational necessities, we help ensure their children are safe, cared for, and supported at home.
A warm welcome from Founder and Executive Director, Kathleen Trapp. Discover how we are empowering others with dignity of choice and walking alongside them with compassion and hope.
To bridge this gap and connect with families working to rebuild stability, we collaborate closely with referral partners from local, non-profit organizations and accept referrals for the one-on-one shopping experience. Participants referred are transitioning to independent, self-sufficient living situations.

Those entering the workforce can also choose clothing, shoes, and accessories to support their professional success.
